Good news! Our paper, "Accessible Methods for Participatory Research: Insights From a Mental Health Study Involving Co-Researchers With Intellectual Disabilities", was recently published in the International Journal of Qualitative Methods.

The paper presents and discusses the participatory research approach used in our project on mental health in people with intellectual disabilities. People with intellectual disabilities were involved in the project as co-researchers throughout the entire research process.

We discuss how we integrated academic and experiential knowledge in all phases of the project and the benefits and challenges we encountered throughout. With this paper, we aim to provide a practical guide for future participatory research projects, as participatory research with people with intellectual disabilities is not only feasible but also methodologically and ethically enriching.
