Elisabeth gave a presentation at this year’s European Health Management Conference in Barcelona. The conference explored how to make health systems future-proof in a changing world. International experts discussed how to translate long-term visions into daily practice, with a focus on prevention, transformation, and equitable access.


In her presentation, “Future-proofing breast cancer screening through inclusion: lessons learned from women with intellectual disabilities and their caregivers in Austria” Elisabeth highlighted how inclusive approaches can strengthen breast cancer screening. She shared insights from our research, emphasising the importance of inclusion for effective screening programmes.
