Today, we are excited to share an update from our project on breast cancer screening for women with intellectual disabilities.

Titelblatt der Brustkrebs-Informationsbroschüre

Women with intellectual disabilities expressed a need for more information and education about breast cancer and screening. It also became evident that educational materials should be available in easy-to-read language and supported by images or graphics to enhance accessibility.

In response to this need, we have developed a new informational brochure. It provides essential information on cancer, breast cancer, and breast cancer screening in easy-to-read language. The brochure is specifically intended for women with intellectual disabilities, but it also serves as a useful resource for other interested audiences.

If you require printed copies of the brochure, you may order them from us free of charge while supplies last. Please send us an email with your mailing address and the desired quantity at: Elisabeth.zeilinger@univie.ac.at.

The brochure can be downloaded here. We invite you to download and disseminate it to reach broader audiences. The brochure is currently available in German only.
